The unique climate of Lake Garda

Lake Garda has always had a special place in our family’s heart and history. Nostalgia for the scents, colors and climate of this area have attracted the return of our parents, Aldo and Luana Brancher. It was the territory itself that suggested the construction of our cellar.
This area not only contains beautiful landscapes, but is a real oasis that allows the creation of incredible food and wine treasures.
The presence of the lake creates a submediterranean climate rather peculiar, strongly mitigated by water throughout the year. This leads to mild and temperate winters and Lake Garda becomes a real "heat reserve", helping to prevent late frosts and thus promoting the growth of the vine.
The breeze that constantly blows from the lake to the hills has another great benefit for our vineyards, allowing a natural ventilation that reduces humidity and the risks of fungal diseases of the plants, thus promoting the health and longevity of the vines.
The moderate temperature excursion during the day is particularly beneficial for the vine. During the day, high temperatures help the plant to produce sugars in the grapes. The drop in temperatures during the night allows the grapes to rest, thus achieving a balance between sugars and acids in the plant that gives back more complex, mature and harmonious grapes.
The soil of the hills surrounding our lake is very varied, with a combination of clay, sand and gravel, which are excellent for cultivation and can provide essential nutrients to the vines.
This natural richness allows us to produce fresh, complex and fragrant white wines, but also elegant and harmonious reds.
Lake Garda welcomes us, but it is also the secret ingredient of our wines. Our project is to continue to enhance this territory, creating opportunities for meeting and discovery.
