5 activities to do on lake Garda in the winter season

We all agree: Lake Garda in the summer season is splendid. But in these colder months it still has some gems to give to those who want to spend a few hours or a few days in this little corner of paradise.
We offer you 5 activities to do on Lake Garda in the winter season. The last one is our favorite!

1. A walk through the villages
Let's start with the simplest but most evocative activity. A walk among the historic villages of the lake never tires. Let yourself be enchanted by the streets of Bardolino, the picturesque landscape of Malcesine and the atmosphere of Lazise.
Often in the winter season they are less crowded, leaving more calm and space to appreciate them at their best. You might also come across some lovely Christmas markets, where you can taste typical local products and buy some gifts.

2. A little relaxation
During a weekend on the lake why not make a stop in the name of relaxation with a capital R?
Take the opportunity to enjoy the various spa centers scattered around the area. The Terme di Sirmione, for example, offer both thermal and curative treatments, perfect for treating yourself to a few regenerating hours in winter tranquility.

3. For the more sporty
Monte Baldo is an excellent destination for sportsmen: a winter snowshoe hike or a walking excursion will take you to discover panoramic paths and snow-covered woods. Once you reach 2000 meters, you can admire Lake Garda in all its beauty, with its crystal clear waters contrasting with snow-capped peaks.
And if you want to try a different experience, in various locations in the area you can rent skates and have fun on the ice rinks.

4. A bit of culture
Winter on Lake Garda is the ideal time to discover the cultural heritage of the area.
Explore museums such as the Malcesine Castle Museum, rich in history and breathtaking views, or the Oil Museum in Cisano, where you can learn everything about a symbolic product of the area.
Don't miss the historic villas, such as Villa Bettoni, and the ancient churches, among which the Church of San Zeno and the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Corona stand out.

5. A tasting in the cellar
What's better than a few hours dedicated to the pleasures of wine?
Discover our tasting proposals, suitable for both couples and groups and start a journey through the typical flavors of the area.

We are waiting for you!
